Travel Medicine
Throughout his career, Dr. Weiss has traveled all over the world providing medical assistance to those in need. Most recently, he traveled to Vietnam and Haiti where he helped train doctors and performed pro bono surgeries. To learn more about Dr. Weiss’s experience, check out the articles and video below!
Haiti
As a young surgeon, Dr. Weiss spent years training in emergency trauma care at a large medical center whose patient population was mostly poor, homeless and disenfranchised. Years of private practice took him away from that world. Working in Haiti brought Dr. Weiss back to the roots of what he does, and why he does it.
Cal Academy Produced this video featuring Dr. Weiss and other doctors returning from a trip to Haiti where the devastation continues.
Vietnam
For the past several years, Dr. Weiss has gone to Vietnam to share Western surgical techniques with some of the warmest, most wonderful people he's had the privilege to know. The doctors he trained are incredibly good with their hands and eager to learn, and the patients and their families are grateful for the services they receive.

Teaching
Dr. Weiss lectures regularly at local, state, and national meetings.
We offer internships for premedical students.
In the Schools
Dr. Weiss knows how important it is to get children excited about science early on in their lives. Which is why every year since 1995, Dr. Weiss has visited classrooms around the Bay Area to teach human anatomy. Whether it is giving casts or dissecting an arm- the students love it!
